"I had used about 20 years of herdbook mating programs on my farms
in Holland and later on in Denmark without being satisfied about the progress
in the herd, so we made a total change in our breeding program. We selected
one young bull, first by picture, then looking to the cow families behind him
and then deciding to use this bull on all the cows at our 2 farms in Denmark.
Today, we can conclude that this is a much better system than the one
mentioned above. We are very satisfied with the offspring of
Markwell Durham RHYME and have about 350 offspring in the barn;
50 of these as milking heifers in production with 300 more pregnancies coming,
and one day we will show a group of them to the world!
RHYME is improving Type, especially Udders with good Fat
